I was on a girls trip in South Carolina, when I had my wallet stolen. After a week of taking trains, buses, and Ubers… I finally reached Washington, DC where I last minute booked a room at the Marriott Courtyard. I was tired and stressed upon my arrival at the Marriott, as it’s been a long few days. I’m travelling back to Canada and having some of your personal items stolen from you feels overwhelming in a different country. The HOSPITALITY of the three individuals upon my arrival at the Marriott Courtyard will hands down be the BEST experience I have ever had at a hotel check in. The manager Lyle, and the staff Mo, and Nicole made my entire night. They welcomed me, helped me forget about the crazy week I had - and truly genuinely cared about what I was going through and how they could make my stay a safe and comfortable one. Having your wallet stolen can make you question the good in the world, but Lyle, Mo, and Nicole made me remember there’s always good. Thank you to them for being kind, caring, considerate, and understanding. I highly recommend staying here. The room is cozy. The front lobby is clean and inviting. The location is convenient to town. BUT most importantly the staff are incredible. Thank you Lyle, Mo, and Nicole (ya’ll deserve a raise - all the best).

The hotel is located steps away from the Gallaudet University Red Line Metro station and near several Metro buses. It is secure, as evidenced by the locked first floor door and the presence of a security guard in addition to valet personnel. The hotel's rooms are decent-sized, and they include a refrigerator, microwave, and hairdryer. The bar/restaurant has limited menu items, but what is available is prepared quickly and is adequately portioned. Beer is available on tap and in bottles. If you like wine, a variety of reds, whites, and sparkling wines are available. The choices aren't super, but they will do if you want to have a round or two.

So much better on the inside than the outside. A genuinely warm and bubbly staff really makes a difference when you're exhausted, and the valet parking with in and out privileges couldn't be easier. Gave me a great late check out and the room I requested. There was a problem with my air conditioning setting and the shower door, and the front desk got a new set of towels and the engineer up to fix it quickly and without any crabbiness. Really comfortable bed bedding and pillows are always a great surprise. Good water pressure even on the 7th floor, bathroom was not fancy and had no ceiling fan but bright and pleasant, relatively recent remodel.

My stay at this hotel was excellent. No issues. Staff were extremly helpful and proffesional. Got a room with a nice view on both street and train station. As for the included breackfast, eventhough it was a preset menu, It was very good with great quantity and quality. Chef, "Mohammad" was great and very welcoming. He prepared excellent breackfast meal. Rooms were clean and tidy. Loved the coffee bags in the rooms. I will think about re-booking in case visiting Washington DC once more time. Location is not bad, almost 10-15 minutes walk from the center. At a middle location between Target and Walmart as well Safeway.

The stay was amazing. The hotel is in the center of town and next to a Metro station. So travelling everywhere was very easy. The area is very safe. The front desk(I was welcomed by Justin) and staff were very accommodative and sweet. They even gave me an early check-in. Room was very clean and cosy and had everything that you could ask for. I would highly recommend this hotel for any visiting Washington DC!
